Then one of the puppies had a great idea. "You guys saw how much that cat gave us for the catnip. What if we sell it to other cats? I'll bet we could make a bundle!" The other dogs agreed, and they decided to go back to the place where they got the catnip and see if there was anymore. There was, and they picked it eagerly. "Now," said another puppy, "we've just got to find cats to sell it to." Soon, they had a routine worked out. The youngest, most innocent looking dog would walk up to a cat and tell the cat he had something to show it. The cat would follow the puppy to an alley or abandoned building where the rest of the dogs would try to convince the cat to buy some catnip. It generally went quite well. The cats that can resist catnip are rare. Yes, the group of puppies was living quite well…for a while.
